6 hours of driving. Done. Back from Phoenix. Intrigued, tired, happy, sore, yearning for more. Lots of emotions going through me as I close on the weekend of the SICest of the Southwest.

This weekend was full of firsts for me. It was my first time to compete in a CrossFit competition individually. It was my first time to represent ORIGINAL Nutritionals at an expo. And, it was my first time to be interviewed in regards to BirthFIT.

Press Conference

Competing was a blast. Lots of laughs with new faces. I did a personal best on the clean & jerk at 155# in the first workout. Representing at the ORIGINAL Nutritionals booth was great. The ON team is progressive and definitely a leading force for real food nutrition. The interview I participated in (with Tiffany Hendrickson & Andrea Ager) was definitely the icing on the cake. I get all giddy inside whenever people ask me about BirthFIT. I love to spread knowledge of my passion.

It is always uplifting to be at a CrossFit event surrounded by the supportive CrossFit community. As a whole, we eat clean, we encourage fitness, and lead fully functional lives. It is definitely not reality though, and I was reminded of that as we walked side by side next to some of the body builders in the aisles of the expo in Phoenix. I encourage all of us in the community to allow our ‘CrossFit lives and selves’ to spill over into other parts of your environments and community. I want us to be infectious and influence people in our communities. Be the leaders for a WELL community.

Look for more updates to come.
