Sacred Pregnancy Classes
Eight Week Pregnancy Journey
Date: Every Sunday, February 3, 2013 to Sunday, March 24, 2013.
Time: 11am- 1pm

BirthFIT has teamed up with the very talented Nina Phelan of Soulful Birth to offer the Los Angeles area these one of a kind Sacred Pregnancy classes. Our classes hold a space for pregnant women to connect with one another and their pregnancy experiences in meaningful and personal ways. Sacred Pregnancy classes are a unique place for pregnant women to gather together, for eight weeks early on in their pregnancy journeys and again for four weeks toward the end of their pregnancies. Each week focuses on different topics and encourages deep sharing through art, expression, laughter, honoring, and celebration.
We want to bring back the age old tradition of women sitting with one anther during pregnancy and birth, getting empowered, witnessing each others process and BEING there for one another during an incredibly power-FULL rite of passage … becoming MOTHERS.

Meet Nina Phelan…
Nina Phelan is a certified Khalsa Way Prenatal Instructor and a Sacred Pregnancy mentor and educator. She is a Reiki/Energy Healer and a LeClaire Hypnobirth Facilitator. Nina teaches Kundalini Yoga, Radiant Child Yoga and Mommy and Me classes throughout Los Angeles. Her work is inspired by Earth Medicine and evoking Ancient Wisdom ~ anchoring into the expansion of The Feminine Energetic. Nina has traveled throughout the world doing ceremonial work in such sacred places as the Temples of Macchu Picchu and throughout Peru, Bolivia, Hawaii and the Ancient Goddes temples of Malta. She is a mother and a wife and is in complete awe of the mystery and beauty of pregnancy and childbirth.

WorkoutWarm Up 1000m Row Your mobility Advanced (95#), Intermediate (65#) 50 Squats 3 minutes of max dead hang pull ups 50 Lunges 3 minutes of max dead hang pull ups Rest 1 min. For time, 50 Squats 50 Lunges # of max pull ups (kipping or bands allowed) 10 Hang Power Cleans Beginner (45#) 25 Squats 2 minutes of max dead hang pull ups 25 Lunges 2 minutes of max dead hang pull ups Rest 1 min. For time, 25 Squats 25 Lunges # of max pull ups (kipping or bands allowed) 10 Hang Power Cleans Modifications All pull-ups can be done with the band, but make sure dead hang is just that. Power cleans at the end can be done with KB. Start the clock at the beginning of the workout and just let it run. Use a piece of paper for notes if you need.
