During the past few years, I’ve spent numerous weekends attending seminars for the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association) Diplomat program. Every single seminar has been mind blowing. The focus of the diplomat program is pregnancy care, postpartum care, and pediatric care. All of the instructors have been passionate and truly experts in their fields.

One instructor that I had was chiropractor Dr. Jeanne Ohm. If you are a chiropractor, then you know who I’m talking about. If you are not a chiropractor, then let me introduce you to one of the most amazing mothers and leaders of our generation that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Dr. Jeanne Ohm has six kids that were all born at home. Her and her husband are chiropractors and her children have received chiropractic care since they were in her womb. Dr. Ohm is co-devloper of the research program for ICPA. She is also the creator and executive director for Pathways to Family Wellness. How does she do it all? I have no idea, but thank God for her!

20 Double Unders (60 Singles or 60 Lunges)

20 Kettle Bell Snatches (Alternating; 35#)

20s Plank Hold

Tips and Modifications

  • Some women can do double undress throughout their pregnancy. Some women throw up at the thought of jumping. It’s up to you. Lunges and air squats are a perfect substitute.
  • Kettle bell snatches can be done with dumb bells as well. If you use a barbell, then use something light as 65# or 45#. Use a weight that you can get through 10 reps relatively quickly.
  • The plank hold can be elevated. If you have a belly, then maybe place your hands on 45# plates or on a box for more elevation. You can always go from your knees.
